About Red Dust
A family drama movie directed by Tom Hooper in 2004 from England and South Africa. After presenting in different domestic and international festivals like BAFTA, this movie managed to get nominated for 9 different awards, among which 4 awards for the best editor. Inside the movie which is based on a novel with the same name, written by “Gillian Slovo”, actors like Hilary Swank and Chiwetel Ejiofor played in it. the fascinating story starts with “Dirk Hendricks”, police officer, files an amnesty application for Alex Mpondo, a member of The South African parliament who was under severe torture. Meanwhile that, “Sarah Barcant”, a lawyer who was born in Africa, returns to her homeland to defend Mpondo and his friend, Steve Sizela.
